There were two Labour party leaders in 1983. Michael Foot led the party from 4 November 1980 to 2 October 1983. Foot resigned the leadsership following the 1983 land-slide election victory of Magaret Thatcher's Conservative party.
He was succeeded by Neil Kinnock, who was leader of the Labour party from 2 October 1983 - 18 July 1992.
