Why did slavery became so popular?

WHY WOULDN'T IT be popular like seriously why wouldn't you get some who they thought was inferior do all there work for them OF COURSE IT WOULD BE POPULAR would you want to have slaved away all day in a field when there were perfectly healthy Africans lying around

That is very horrible English. It was popular because the people were such screwed up beings. But of course everyone wants things for free and to them, slavery was the best option.
