How do you replace the top right brake light on a BMW x5 2008?

To replace the top right brake light on a 2008 BMW X5, first, open the rear hatch and locate the access panel on the right side of the tailgate. Remove the panel by gently pulling it off to access the brake light assembly. Twist the brake light socket counterclockwise to remove it, then pull out the old bulb and replace it with a new one.
