How do you show someone youre sorry?

If you love them the apology will come easily! Think about WHY you are sorry... Think about HOW the apology will make the other person feel... Reverse the situation and think about what you would like to hear if you were expecting an apology... EG. I want you to know that your feelings matter foremost to me in our relationship; I have been thinking about (what it was that upset or offended) you and realise that I was out of line. This is why I said what I said at the time but perhaps you took my comment out of context. I would never intentionally upset or hurt you..... etc etc....
