Uses of cell fusion and cell culture?

cell fusion is a useful tool in biotechnology.It is used in:

(i) to study the control of cell division and gene expression,

(ii) to investigate malignant transformations,

(iii) to obtain viral replication,

(iv) for gene or chromosome mapping and for

(v) production of monoclonal antibodies by producing hybridoma (hybrid cells between an immortalised cell and an antibody producing lymphocyte), etc
