How can you find out if a person has a life insurance policy?

If you are trying to locate a life insurance policy that may have existed from someone who has died, try looking at their old bank statements, checkbook etc.. to see if there were checks made out to insurance companies.

If they had an auto or home policy, check with those companies as well as the agent who wrote the policies as they may be able to help you.

You can also inquire with the MIB - Medical Information Bureau as they offer a service for finding policies.
