What are the two reasons for individuals of the same species?

Each species had ancestors from the earliest of time and in some way our ancestors were related. So for example Humans are related to another species and that species could be pigs (I'm not sure if that is actually true or not.) So that's one reason Also sorry but I don't know another reason that's just the main reason. Hope this helps. :)
