Does mortified mean shamed

Mortified means one of three things

Most commonly it means shocked beyond belief or to death. To make someone so surprised or embarrassed that they are angry, ashamed or shocked beyond Words. (ie. I was mortified)

It is also used as a way to describe something as being obsolete. (It is mortified)

It also means to deaden or to kill. (ie. It will be mortified)
