What is Fresnel half period zone?

Fresnel's assumed that a wavefront started from a source can be divided in to a large no. of strips or zone called the Fresnel's zone of small area.

if the path difference between secondary wavelets reaching a point on screen started from two consecutive zone is N2(or the phase difference is 2nd) then the zones are called Fresnel's half period zone..
