The Minotaur, a creature from Greek mythology, was the offspring of Pasiphaë, the queen of Crete, and a sacred bull sent by Poseidon. Pasiphaë's unnatural attraction to the bull led to the creation of the Minotaur, who had the body of a man and the head of a bull. The creature was later imprisoned in the Labyrinth designed by Daedalus to contain it.
