Why is the return flight longer from London than the flight going?

Due to the winds that the aircraft hits flying west to east, in general winds travel east to west, so when a plane flys away from the uk it is heading against the wind. I fly to Florida a lot and always find the flight to take an hour less heading back to the uk.
