that's an Excellent question. there are many connections between the systems of the body, that's the beauty of it all! That it all works together! the respiratory system/gas exchang connects to the circulation of the blood in the heart through the whole system! the blood goes from the cappilaries to the veins to the superior and inferior vena cava. Then, to the right side of the heart, pulminary artery, lung, in the lung, through gas exchange, the alveoli get oxygen.... goes into puminary veins, left side of heart, valve, out of the aorta, into the arteries, and to the rest of the body! The circulatory system brings nutrients and oxygen to the digestive system. Also the circulatory system takes wastes away from the digestive system.
