Poseidon, the Greek god of the sea, had several sons, the most notable of whom are Triton, known as the messenger of the sea, and Theseus, a legendary hero of Athens. Other sons include Polyphemus, the Cyclops, and Antaeus, a giant known for his strength. Additionally, Poseidon is sometimes credited with fathering various other figures in mythology, including the horses Pegasus and Chrysaor.
