Factory resetting your Arlo wire-free camera returns your Arlo wire-free camera to its default settings and eliminates the camera from your account. It indicates that you must follow the Arlo app setup method to run your Arlo camera after a factory reset.

To factory reset my Arlo wire-free camera:

  1. Press and hold the sync button on the Arlo camera for approximately 15 seconds until the camera LED starts glowing amber, then let go.

Note: If you possess an Arlo Ultra old or newer or Arlo Pro 3 old or newer cameras, you must release the camera from the camera installation to reach the sync button.

2.Make sure that the Arlo camera LED glows amber three times.

Ponder: Make sure to let go of the sync button when the camera LED starts glowing amber. If you hold the sync button for a very long time, you must restart the factory reset process until the camera LED blinks amber three times after letting go of the sync button.

3.Later a factory reset, the Arlo camera still appears on the Arlo app, but it is disabled.

4.For re-adding your Arlo camera to the Arlo app:

a. Open the Arlo app or log .

The Devices page will appear on the screen.

b. Hit or click the settings icon under the Arlo camera feed.

c. Scroll to the bottom of the Device Settings page, and click the Remove Device button.

d. Close the Device Settings page opened on the screen.

e. Close the Device Settings page opened on the screen.

f. Click the Add New Device field displayed on the Devices page.

g. Choose Cameras, and follow the instructions to connect your Arlo camera to your Wi-Fi network and set it up.

You can also perform a factory reset on your Arlo wire-free camera in the Arlo app. Hit Device Settings > Remove Device requiring the Arlo camera to be online and to have battery power.
