Alright so you got X^2-X=1X^3-2X+1=Y
Using the first equation we should try to find out all the parts of the second equation.
X^2=X+1Divide both sides by XX=1+X...Not much help is it.
lets multiply both sides by X
X^3=X^2+XAnd Break that down some.X^3=X+1+X X^3=2X+1
Now we have just X's. Lets see if we can expand the original problem
2X+1-2X+1=Y
The X's cancel each other out. So that leaves us with:1+1=Y and the answer is 2
