That depends on how you apply it, and how you prep the nails before applying it. I've found that I get the best (and longest) results when I do the following:

  • Wash hands, then dry well, using the towel to gently push the cuticles down.
  • Apply lemon juice or vinegar to a cotton ball, then use to clean nails. This removes all traces of lotions, creams, soap residue, etc, which helps the polish to adhere better.
  • Rinse nails so the acid from the lemon juice or vinegar doesn't dry or weaken the nails. Dry well with paper towel.
  • Apply first coat of polish (I never use the clear base coats), then let dry for at least several hours, preferably overnight.
  • Apply second coat of polish, allow to dry completely before doing anything that could damage polish, preferably overnight.
  • Apply another coat of polish every couple of days for up to 10 days, or you can use a clear top coat instead.

This method should keep your manicure/polish in good shape for about 10 days. I don't advise going longer before removing the polish because the nails do need time in between manicures to "breathe". When you remove the polish, wait until the next day before re-applying the polish. Then repeat the above process.
