What did Hermes the Greek god wear?

He was the God of messengers mainly, but also the God of theft and travel. So traditionally he wore the flying shoes and the helmet with wings. He also had a staff with two snakes intertwined at the tip. But it really all depends on the time period. If you still believe in Greek gods, he could very well be a mailman or a guy jogging down the street.
