Where and when will the Commonwealth Games being held in 2018?

On 12 November 2011 (Australian date) it was announced that the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia had beaten the Sri Lankan city of Hambantota to win the hosting rights for the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
