What are one or two bumps that look like mosquito bites on top lip that come out of nowhere?

If you have one or two bumps that look like mosquito bites on your top lip and they seem to have come out of nowhere, they could be a couple different things. You may have cold sores, or you may have actually been bitten by an insect, perhaps while sleeping.
