How many hours a week does a stock broker work?

Well, according to my boyfriend, who lives in NY and is a broker, he works from about 7:30am until nearly 7:30pm most days and 6 to 8 hours on Saturdays as well. This also doesn't count the dinners and 'business meetings' he is required to attend to make sales.

I live in a different state and have no idea if this is the actual amount of time a broker spends working.
