Why Azoic dye is restricted?

Azoic dyes are potentially harmful as they can be decomposed into one of 20 harmful aromatic amines in certain conditions. These amines are toxic, carcinogenic, irritating, allergenic, and environmentally harmful. Some types of azoic dyes are restricted or banned from use in textiles, especially those used for children's clothing and underwear.
