What is the value of a 1848 large cent with a bullet hole?

To a coin collector nothing, as damage that severe would render the coin noncollectable. Without the bullet hole it is still a fairly common coin with values for average circulated coins running under $40. Any signifigant post mint damage usually ruins any value of any coin, with the very rare exeptions of the ultra rare coins with only a few survivors in existence.
