What action do you take when you are given a verbal but not a written invitation to wedding?

Just go to it. If their is a request at the front entrance or something for a personal invitation, tell them about the verbal invite. If all else fails, call your invitee or get someone to find them and hope it is enough. If none of the above works, ask for one beforehand or cut your losses and ask for recorded media afterward.
