Do mosquitoes explode when they drink too much blood?

Yes, infact they do. Due to their small bodies, if they overfeed they can combust.

Just now there is one in my lounge, so I have left a small bowl full of blood from tonights steak, so in the morning I will hopefully find bits of mosquito near the area.
