The Tebat Monok rare flora group erects fences to protect the flowers from disturbance. The largest spring 2011 Rafflesia bloom in this forest measured 1 meter in diameter, a full 3 feet. The flower boasts a deep red color with pale speckled petals surrounding a large round opening. The spiky projections in the center may help distribute the carrion scent.........
