The cheapest deal isn't always the best deal. Cell providers must make money to support the system, to make a profit for the company, and to pay staff. When a plan seems to good to be true up front, you will most likely find hidden fees and charges.

I had a service whose monthly rate was very good but when the bill came, the taxes and fees section was 48% of the charge for service (we have an 8% sales tax, the other 40% was .50 - 1.00 for legal fees, the rest for official sounding fees made up by the service provider). So, when you find a plan that may suit your needs, ask people about their service bills to be sure that all the costs are disclosed up front.
