What are the different types of register circuits?

There are two type of register in electronics domain one is shift resister and second is register.

shift register are used for shifting the data from left to right or right to left.

it has four types

SISO-serial in serial out

SIPO- parallel out

PISO-parallel in serial out

PISO- parallel out.

and register are simply used for storing the digital data.
