Should an 10 year old get a dog?

Maybe you could introduce them to a smaller dog first. Maybe by holding it in your arms, you may be able to get them to pat the dog, and gradually, introduce them to bigger dogs. Be a good example. Play with the dog and show them that they're not going to hurt you.
