Are tempurpedic mattress good for your back?

If you have a herniated or degenerated disk other users have recommended against the tempurpedic mattress. Many others who suffer from chronic Back pain say to get rid of this mattress and try a different mattress before getting surgery. Several reviews say they like but many others say they now wake up with back aches after purchasing a tempurpedic. Try it out at someone elses house if you can.
