If she is your ex , your relationship over now . She might just want to be friends . Or she is missing the old times or using you to gain a shoulder to cry on.
- 'Ex' means the relationship is over. She may miss you, but she had made her choice to stay with the new boyfriend and it is not your problem regarding his relapsed drinking problem. Without knowing it she is using you as a shoulder to cry on because she doesn't know what to do about her new boyfriend; she may feel she can't walk out on him now because of the relapse of alcohol and feels she needs to be loyal to him. The next time you talk to her tell her that her new boyfriend has a choice of helping himself by going to AA and that as long as she is with him you prefer to keep right out of things and then walk away. If she really cares about you then she'll leave her new boyfriend and if she chooses to stay with him then she is heading into murky waters and she is old enough to take care of herself.
