Why wear safety gloves?

They wear gloves to keep the area sterile. This means free from germs. First they scrub up, all the way to the forearm. This ensures no germs will be there in the operation.

When they opertate they want to make sure nothing gets into the wound or whatever they might be working on. If it does, th person could get sick, get septic, or worse. That is why they wear gloves. Its basically the same with masks too.
