There are 39 books in the Old Testament, and 27 in the New Testament.
Moses is traditionally thought to have written the first 5, and is the most significant teacher in the Old Testament. Other major characters who could be considered teachers because they discovered a lot about God in the course of their lives and passed it on in story form include Noah - the builder of the Ark, the patriarchs - Abraham, Isaac, & Jacob, and Jacob's son Joseph who became a primer minister of Egypt. Joshua, Samuel, David, Solomon, Elijah, Elisha, Daniel, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Nehemiah, and a number of other minor prophets could be considered teachers.
In the New Testament, the most important teacher is of course Jesus, followed by Paul, Peter, John, James, Jude, and the writer of Hebrews (we're not sure who wrote Hebrews)
