How do you put the front caliper clips on the pads of a 95 tacoma?

The small clips do not go on the pads, they go on the caliper. The 4 identical ones fit and clip onto the square cutouts to guide the pads.

I got that far, but I don't know how to attach the low warning clips, the thing that squeaks when it's time to change the pads.
