Yes, haven't you noticed your hair gets a lot lighter in the summer and the hair on the top is lighter than the hair underneath that doesn't get as much sunlight? Of course the sun won't turn a dark brunette into a light blonde, but it can definitly lighten your hair a little or even a lot if your hair is already on the light side. Yeah, the sun will lighten your hair. But another way to do it naturally to get this stuff at the Drugmart it's called 'Sun In'. It is natural and has no dye in it at all. Instructions are so easy too. It says spay in damp hair, but dry hair works too. Simply spray in spots you want, comb it through a little and then go out in the sun. You don't have to be sitting still either. Going for a walk, school, playing sports; pretty much everything. It works great for me. My hair is dark blonde but it swiftly being brought to a light brown blonde. This stuff also makes the lightening look natural and when mine grows out, you can hardly see the roots at all. It's permenant hair color without dye. Amazing. It says on the bottle that it will slightly lighten darker hair. Or give it dark reddish tones. Oh, and the sun will make your hair lighter, but barely at all if it's dark. And even if it's light it won't make a big difference.
