1. sensor to tell the computer when you were driving in 5th gear. 2. sensor to turn on the backup lights when you were in reverse. Also, there are wires going to your transfer case, that light up the '4wd' light to show when you are in 4WD rather than 2WD, IIRC. Paul H.
