For the CBR600F3 there are 2 fuel filters. A tube-like prefilter that Honda calls a screen set. That one is inside the fuel tank. It is attached to the fuel tap so you will need to remove that to get at it. The screen set catches larger impurities.
There is also an inline filter. The filter can be found by following the tube that goes out of the shut off valve. The inline filter catches small imperfections like metal flakes. It is recommended that filter be changed every 2 years, or 6K miles or every other oil change. Some people clean their filters using B-12 Carb Cleaner although make sure the filter is completely free of carb cleaner before reattaching it. Filters are less than $10 so most people just replace them.
