What is a freelance illustrator?

Freelance designers, artists and illustrators are independent. You contract them per project. Their rates may be flat rate per project, hourly, monthly, or any mix as decided between yourself and the illustrator at the time of contraction. Prices vary for different types of illustration, generally commensurate with time and complexity.
