Should you use synthetic oil in your 2011 Subaru Outback?

If I had one I would consider it. Always follow instructions in your owner's manual for selection and maintenance of engine oil.

My personal opinion is that although there may be less wear using synthetic I opt for conventional oil and 3000 or so mile changes. I would rather change more often and remove the accumulated nasty stuff. In 40 years it's been wrecks and rust that have scrapped my cars. Sent lots of good engines to the crusher.
