What was the impact of blue jeans?

They originated on the ranches in early 20th century America and they were made differently to all other trousers. The fact that they faded mainly made them look good and in the 50s they were a huge hit with teenagers who wanted to revolutionise their clothing stlyes which had originally been the same as their parents.
