What is the big deal about Mousetrap by Agatha Christie?

A bunch of reasons first the classic British murder mystery is a forumla adored the world over. It's full of suspense, it keeps you on the edge of your seat from start to finish while still retaining a classic 1930s humour. Although I'd probably say the biggest draw is the ending, it is an interesting twist on the typical whodunit.
