Why does a man blame his partner for everything?

Some men and women are domineering and some can be kind of selfish but many times it is out of fear and shame. Taking responsibility for your own actions seems to be "gone with the wind" these days. They do something wrong, they put the blame on the partner rather than admit their own blame. It seems to be more and more of a trend now to not accept responsibility for your actions.
