What is the age of a smith and Wesson pistol model 3 serial number 12925?

The S&W New Model Three was made from 1878 to 1912. All the frames were made prior to 1898 making ALL of them antiques. The serial number range is 1 to 35796. My guess would be you Smith & Wesson was made around 1882-1884. Hope this helps. Terry
