What does a cause mean?

Verb: Make (something) happen: "this disease can causeblindness".

Noun: A person or thing that gives rise to an action, phenomenon, or condition.

In this case you would really be better of just doing a quick google search. It would be a much better use of your time and you would get your answer much more quickly.
