Is mini corn in Chinese food really corn?

The "mini corn" you're referring to is just baby corn, harvested young and usually from a specific type of corn that doesn't grow all that big as it is. The only real difference between baby corn and normal sized corn is the amount of time it was allowed to grow before harvesting.
