How many casualties were there in the Battle of Passchendaele?

The numbers are under a great deal of controversay and it would be hard to pin point an exact number. It appears to be pretty even with the British ranging from 200,000 to as high as 448,000 and the German listing ranging from 260,400 to 400,000.
