The location of painting the exterior of a home isn't going to make a difference as far as cost. But to calculate how much you can anticipate spending to paint the outside of your home you take the cost of a gallon of paint you wish to purchase (different colors will cost different amounts, anywhere from twenty five dollars a gallon to forty a gallon) and multiply that number by the square footage that needs to be covered by paint divided 350 which is how much square footage a gallon will cover. So the final formula would look like this:
CostPerGallon * (SquareFootage / 350) = TotalCost
And then add in the labor which should be about two to three times the paint cost depending on the complexity of the job.
