Is csf just a special ecf for the cns you keep hearing them used somewhat interchangeably in class when referencing fluid protecting the brain?

CSF is part of the extracellular fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord, along with blood and interstial fluid (separated by the blood brain barrier, thank you astrocytes).
