What level should the oil be in the sight glass on a 1999 Yamaha grizzly shut off or running?

Always check oil levels on flat road surface with engine turned off, preferably before 1st start of day or letting it sit for several minutes turned off. Oil should be between 2 marks. Never overfill oil, may blow seals(pressure), or foam up. Foam has air, air does not lubricate
