What do you call person being baptized?

Baptism is a symbolic gesture in which the person 'dies' or is submerged under water, and is then 're-born' as a new person in Christ. Before a person is baptized a spiritual quest usually takes place. It should not be taken lightly but real soul searching should proceed the baptisim. It is rendered useless unless the person truly has a spiritual change of heart. This includes an entirely differernt life-style that includes adherence to God's laws and commandments.
