When was mensa started?

Mensa was founded in 1946 in England by Roland Berrill, a barrister, and Dr. Arthur L. W. McConachy, a scientist. The organization was established as a society for individuals with high IQs, aiming to create a non-political, non-religious community for intellectual exchange. Since its inception, Mensa has grown to include members from over 100 countries worldwide.
